Founder Shannon Spadaro never expected to fall in love with line dancing. Growing up in New Jersey, country music and cowboy boots weren't part of everyday life. It wasn't until a friend convinced her to step onto the dance floor that she discovered something unexpected: a community.

What started as a night out quickly became a passion. Line dancing wasn't just about learning steps; it was about building confidence, making friends, and creating memories with people from every background. But there was one problem. For Clemson students, the nearest line-dancing venues were over 40 minutes away, often requiring long, late-night drives and limiting access for many students.

So, instead of waiting for someone else to create that space, Shannon decided to build it herself.

As an entrepreneurship student at Clemson University, she turned an idea into a business concept and began testing it through Two Step Tavern pop-up events. Those events quickly proved that Clemson was ready for something different. Hundreds of students and community members came together to dance, laugh, and experience a new kind of nightlife, one built around connection instead of simply going out.

Today, Two Step Tavern is working toward becoming Clemson's first dedicated line dancing venue.
